Salary: MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)
The Opportunity
A well-established secondary school in Derby is seeking a Science Teacher to start immediately on a full-time basis, covering until the end of the academic year.
This is a full teaching role and requires someone confident taking responsibility for planning and delivering lessons, not just cover supervision. The school has clear behaviour systems, strong routines, and a supportive Science department.
The Role
- Teach Science across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
- Mark and assess student work
- Track progress and support attainment
- Maintain clear classroom routines and expectations
- Work collaboratively within the Science department
What We're Looking For
- QTS or recognised UK teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
- Confident planning and delivering full lessons
- Strong behaviour management
- Available to start immediately
- Able to commit until the end of the academic year
