Complex Needs Teaching Assistant:
Location - SK8 (Cheadle)
Pay - £475-£550 per week, depending on experience
Start date - 09/03/2026 or ASAP
Contract Type - Temp To Perm
Prospero Teaching are currently working with a large SEN provision in Cheadle (SK8) to recruit for kind, compassionate Learning Support Assistants. The role is full-time and a temp to perm contract.
The school is a specialist provision, supporting pupils aged between 4-19 with complex needs.
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, offering both academic and emotional support
- Maintain regular communication with the class teacher and other teaching staff to monitor progress and development
- Create and implement Education, Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Assist with personal care and manual handling
The Ideal Candidate:
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Any personal or professional experience supporting complex needs within a school/setting setting
- A calm, compassionate approach
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
