KPI Education are working with an ambitious and forward-thinking secondary school in Brent to appoint a talented Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant. The Role
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Head of Maths and class teachers to support pupils across KS3 and KS4 (with potential exposure to KS5 for strong candidates).
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting Maths lessons across Year 7–11
• Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group interventions
• Providing GCSE exam preparation support
• Stretching high-attaining pupils aiming for grades 8–9
• Assisting with lesson planning and resource preparation
• Tracking pupil progress and supporting catch-up strategies
You will gain first-hand experience of curriculum delivery, assessment and behaviour management — ideal preparation for a future PGCE or Schools Direct route.
Who We’re Looking For
• A First-Class or strong 2:1 degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
• Strong A-Level and GCSE results in Maths
• A clear ambition to pursue a career in teaching
• Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator who can explain mathematical concepts clearly
• Resilient, proactive and professional attitude
Previous tutoring or mentoring experience is advantageous but not essential. Academic strength and a genuine commitment to education are key.
