Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Teacher/ Training Pathway Available

Are you a confident, academically strong graduate considering a career in teaching?

Would you like to gain direct classroom leadership experience before committing to a PGCE or salaried teacher training programme?

KPI Education are partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Hounslow to appoint a motivated and professional Graduate Cover Supervisor. This role offers invaluable experience managing classrooms and delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.

The Role

As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for classes in the absence of the regular teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop behaviour management skills and classroom presence in a supportive school environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre-set lesson plans across KS3 and KS4
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress
• Supporting departments during non-cover periods
• Building positive and professional relationships with pupils

You will gain exposure to a wide variety of subjects and teaching styles, providing excellent preparation for a future in education.

About the School

This Hounslow secondary school has a strong behaviour framework and a supportive senior leadership team committed to developing graduate talent. Many previous Cover Supervisors have progressed into teacher training programmes within the school or through partnered training providers.

The school serves a diverse and ambitious student community and places a strong emphasis on high expectations and consistency.

Who We’re Looking For

• A 2:1 or First-Class degree in any subject
• Strong academic background (good GCSE & A-Level results)
• A clear interest in pursuing a teaching career
• Confident communicator with natural authority
• Resilient, adaptable and calm under pressure
• Previous tutoring, mentoring or youth experience desirable but not essential

This role would particularly suit graduates who want to test themselves in front of a class and develop genuine classroom leadership experience.

Why Apply?

• £26,000 – £30,000 salary
• Full classroom responsibility
• Outstanding preparation for teacher training
• Long-term, stable position (no daily supply)
• Supportive mentoring and clear progression route
• Ongoing guidance from KPI Education

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references.

If you are an ambitious graduate ready to step confidently into the classroom, apply now or contact Ryan at KPI Education for a confidential discussion.
