Job responsibilities To provide a comprehensive General surgical service providing optimum care for all patients Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all presenting patients. To work as part of the General Surgical team offering additional expertise in specialist area of Lower Gastro Intestinal To provide on call service as part of a 1 in 8 rota To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the General Surgery Department. Teaching and training of junior staff and medical students. To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit. To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
