Your new company
Desian Education are proud to be supporting a Runcorn-based mainstream primary school that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint a minimum of 2 experienced and reliable teaching assistants for full-time (32.5 hour) contracts, initially on a temporary basis with permanent contracts being considered for the right individuals.
Your new role
This two form entry school require long-term support for a designated SEMH provision. This KS2 class consists of a class teacher, up to 4 teaching assistants, and 8 pupils with individual EHCP’s and varying levels of SEMH. You must:
- Have a passion for supporting pupils between the ages of 4 – 11
- Have experience supporting SEN (SEMH and behavioural needs is advantageous)
- Be effective in managing behaviours within a classroom environment
- Be able to implement positive behaviour strategies
What you need to succeed
To be considered in your application you must:
- Have relevant referenceable experience supporting children
- Be able to commit to a full-time contract
- Having an NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience delivering ELSA interventions is advantageous
