We are seeking a highly creative, technically proficient, and detail-oriented Web Designer (5–6 years’ experience) to design and deliver visually compelling, user-centric, accessible, and high-performance digital experiences. The role requires strong UI/UX expertise, modern front-end capabilities, brand alignment, and the ability to contribute to enterprise-level digital transformation and customer engagement platforms.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
• Design intuitive, engaging, and responsive web interfaces aligned with business objectives and brand standards.
• Create wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity design systems.
• Translate business and user requirements into elegant UI/UX solutions.
• Develop responsive, mobile-first designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs.
• Design and maintain scalable design systems, UI component libraries, and style guides.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, A/B testing, and UX analysis.
• Optimise user journeys to improve engagement, conversion, and retention.
• Implement accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2) and inclusive design principles.
• Apply SEO-friendly design practices and performance optimisation strategies.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Marketing teams, and Developers.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms and touchpoints.
• Design interactive elements, animations, and micro-interactions for enhanced user experience.
• Support CMS-driven websites and enterprise digital platforms.
• Contribute to front-end development where required (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
• Optimise page speed, Core Web Vitals, and performance metrics.
• Maintain documentation including design specifications and handover guides.
• Stay updated with emerging UI/UX trends, tools, and technologies.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed
(The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment)
• Bachelor's degree in web design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 5–6 years of professional experience in web design and UI/UX roles within enterprise environments.
• Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Expertise in responsive design and mobile-first development.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating enterprise-level web projects.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems and reusable UI components.
• Strong knowledge of UX research methodologies and usability testing.
• Deep understanding of user-centred design principles.
• Strong experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA compliance).
• Experience implementing SEO best practices and structured data design.
• Understanding of UI animation, motion design, and interaction design principles.
• Familiarity with web performance optimisation techniques and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and integration with backend services.
