Are you passionate about supporting young children and making a positive impact on early childhood education? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as a Nursery Assistant! Enjoy the flexibility to set your schedule and work when and where you want.

We are looking for enthusiastic Nursery Assistants in Chorley with availability from Monday to Friday for ad-hoc roles starting soon. You can earn a competitive rate of £13-£14 per hour while having the freedom to choose your workdays.

As a Nursery Assistant, you will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their growth through fun and educational activities. If you hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education, possess an NVQ or CACHE certificate, and have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply. Permanent positions may be offered to suitable candidates, providing a great opportunity to advance your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting teachers with lessons and managing classroom behavior.

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children.

  • Designing engaging activities for the children in your care.

  • Teaching basic life skills, such as hygiene and good manners.

  • Communicating effectively with children, staff, parents, and carers.

  • Tailoring your support to meet the individual needs of each child.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one).

  • Minimum 6 months experience working with children (with 2 professional references).

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • A genuine passion, patience, and sensitivity for working with children.

  • CACHE L2/L3 or direct nursery experience preferred.

  • Good understanding of EYFS.
