Are you looking for a new challenge as an Occupational Therapist in a leadership role? Then join our evolving Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy workforce. Due to promotion, we are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist, for a grade 10 Occupational Therapy Practice Lead Manager to add to our team. The pay scale is £45,091- £48,226 plus additionally attracts up to £3000 market rate supplement.
Recognising the workforce demand these posts are enhanced with a market rate pay supplement in excess of the top of the substantive grade. An annual review will take place which could reduce, increase or remove the enhancement subject to market conditions.
If you are an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist (Band 6 or 7 equivalent) then we have an opportunity for you. The role is to be a highly specialist clinician, supporting other staff by creating the right conditions for them to be able to work to their maximum potential, and providing day to day operational oversight.
You will deputise for the Operational Manager as appropriate. Alongside this as a clinical specialist you may hold a small clinical caseload, support in high level clinical decision making, undertaking of quality audits, and chairing team meetings.
This role will work closely with the two existing Occupational Therapy Practice Lead Managers, and the Operational Manager. We have a range of opportunities for professional development and progression of your Leadership Skills and your clinical expertise, as well as the ability to be involved with research through the Curiosity Partnership.

We are currently in an exciting time going through a period of service improvement, which will give you the opportunity to have a strong voice in how the service is shaped moving forwards.
The role will support a trauma informed approach within the team and rights based inclusive practice. To support use of solution focussed conversations, and goal setting with people as part of a proportionate assessment process.
As a valued leader, you will be providing supervision and clinical oversight to other registered and unregistered staff. You will contribute and lead on service development, policy and process for Occupational Therapy and ensure OT is embedded within the wider Social Care offer.
This post is based within our Locality Services including individuals who have eligible needs under the Care Act, ie long term care needs met by formal or informal care. You will be supporting staff in their day to day work including triage, assessment, moving and handling, minor and major adaptations and equipment provision. Whilst prevention is a primary consideration across our whole service the case load within the Locality Services include some of our most complex work including transition, transforming care, households with multiple/ multigenerational needs, prison work and complex neurological conditions such as Motor Neurons Disease and hard to help behaviours. These primarily focus on High cost Housing Adaptations, complex equipment provision and Moving and Handling but also a full range of Occupational Therapy Intervention.
