Crynodeb
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Assistant who would welcome the challenge to join our friendly team inthis hospital laboratory. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a busy environment alongside a team of Consultants, Scientists andsupport staff. Previous experience of working in a laboratory environment would be advantageous although full training and support relevant toyour level of experience will be given to the successful applicant. Aspects of sample reception and pre analytical treatment of samples, including referral out of samples, and general laboratory duties together with direct support of technical and scientific staff will be required to support the service to the department. You will be expected to work across Blood Sciences which will include working various shifts - lates, nights, weekends, bank holidays working to ensure a 24-hour laboratory service. The employee's working hours will be averaged per week, working more or fewer hours in any given week, provided that the average is maintained over a period of time on a rota. The role may also involve travel to the other 4 Black Country Pathology Service sites when required.
