Crynodeb
As a Holiday Cottage Cleaner for Thorington Hall and Lodge, this role could not be more important in ensuring our guests are provided with the perfect stay from the moment they arrive. You'll be joining a small but excellent team to deliver this.
You'll work 5 hours per week and overtime is readily available. With all year-round work, the regular changeover days do not always fall on the same days, but they are predominately Mondays and Fridays. Flexibility will be required however as well as Saturday work on a rota basis. Rotas are issued in advance, and we try to accommodate other commitments where possible.
Salary: £12.25 per hour - we’re currently undertaking our pay review process and it is likely that this salary will be increased from 1st April 2026.
Internally you'll be known as a Holidays Operation Assistant.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work here
You'll be cleaning and preparing to a high standard at Thorington Hall and Lodge along with the rest of the team. There is also a possibility of work at other cottages we manage in surrounding areas on a cover basis if you are interested. Because the cottages are in rural areas, please think about how you’d be able to get here for work, before you apply for this job.

What you'll be doing
It’s the details that make you a brilliant cleaner.
On changeover days, you’ll make sure that everything’s pristine and ready for the next guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well-presented and welcoming. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for anything that’s not as it should be and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing. If you need to, you’ll also replace any broken items from the store supplies.
Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams and additional extensive measures in place to protect staff.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
