Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team at Islington. As a Principal Highways Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of a wide range of highway engineering projects. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery of complex highway engineering projects from inception to completion.
Conduct detailed technical assessments and feasibility studies to inform project scope and objectives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in highway design and construction.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions that meet client and stakeholder needs.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff to enhance team capabilities and professional development.
Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Engage with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, and the public, to gather requirements and present project proposals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree or chartered status is preferred.
Proven experience in highway engineering design and project management in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of current engineering software and tools relevant to highway design.
Excellent understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and regulations in highway and civil engineering.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative engineering solutions.

Pay Per Hour: £29.79
