Music Teacher (Part Time)
3 days per week (Monday–Wednesday)
Start date: w/c 13/04
We are seeking a Music Teacher to join our PPA team, delivering engaging and high-quality music lessons to pupils in Years 1–6. This is a part-time role, ideal for a confident classroom practitioner with a passion for music education.
The successful candidate will initially be paid through an agency, with the intention for the role to progress into a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to whole classes across Years 1–6
Provide PPA cover as part of a collaborative teaching team
Ensure lessons are inclusive, well-structured, and appropriately differentiated
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment
Assess pupils’ progress and adapt teaching accordingly
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable
Candidates without QTS will be considered if they have experience teaching whole classes
Strong classroom management skills
Confidence delivering music lessons across a primary age range
A flexible, professional, and enthusiastic approach
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Pay in line with the Main Teacher Pay Scale for QTS teachers
Pay in line with the Unqualified Teacher Scale for non-QTS teachers
