Crynodeb
We are seeking dedicated and experienced HCA and Senior Support Workers to work in our Supported Living and Domiciliary Care services within St Helens and Leigh or Wigan Areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality care especially in specialist care like autism, mental health, learning disability, personal care, end of life and brain injury, particularly within Supported Living and Domiciliary Care, and will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, caring skills, respect for values and good customer relationship with clients and care teams. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of our development that is in line with our statement of purpose, mission and values.
The services include those with dementia, mental health, Autism, learning disability, extra care, supported living and Domiciliary care within North West England while managing a team of healthcare professionals and families of our client.
Responsibilities
1. Provide quality care on the day-to-day operations of the business ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
2. Work under policies and procedures with staff in delivering exceptional care to residents and clients, including medication administration and personal care.
3. Work in line with individual care plans tailored to individual client's needs, particularly for those requiring dementia care.
4. Foster a positive environment that promotes client's wellbeing and dignity.
5. Conduct regular assessments and audits to monitor service delivery and identify areas for improvement under staff input level.
6. Respect staffing levels effectively, including recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
7. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure coordinated care for residents.
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies.
Requirements
1. Full UK Driving Licence
2. Proven experience in HCA/ Support role within home care or similar environment.
3. Years of experience in delievering home care, supported living and Livie in Care or Residential Home
4. Strong understanding of HCA and senior care practices, including dementia care and medication administration, bowel care and cartether care.
5. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a complex care needs effectively.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an empathetic approach towards residents and their families.
7. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of care delivery.
8. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in health and social care.
