The Orchards Federation is seeking an outstanding Lead Practitioner (Teaching and Learning) to join our Leadership Team at Cherry Tree Primary School.
This is a pivotal leadership role for someone passionate about excellence in pedagogy, curriculum innovation and professional development.
About the Role
As Lead Practitioner, you will:
- Model outstanding teaching and learning across the school
- Coach and mentor colleagues to secure consistently high standards
- Play a central role in self-evaluation and school improvement
- Contribute to curriculum and assessment development
With a 0.7 teaching commitment, you will remain rooted in classroom excellence while driving strategic improvement.
- Has at least five years’ successful mainstream primary teaching experience
- Demonstrates outstanding classroom practice across primary key stages
- Has excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment processes
- Understands effective pedagogy and evidence-informed teaching approaches
- Can lead high quality CPD and support staff to embed agreed strategies
- Demonstrates strong leadership with integrity and empathy
