Crynodeb
The appointee will be encouraged to adopt leadership roles within the department. This may include service development or roles that contribute to education, quality improvement, operational work, research or governance. After an introductory period, these roles will be mutually agreed following discussion with the CSL and incorporated into the appointees job plan. In addition, the appointee will be supported to develop their own areas of interest that contribute to the wider development of Acute Medicine as a speciality. With mutual agreement of CSL/Clinical Leads, the post holder is expected to deputise and represent the Department as required, both within the Trust and externally. KEY SKILLS *To have oversight of all team activity during that clinical session, and provide support to other registered and non-registered clinical practitioners when needed *To provide appropriate supervisions to junior doctors, ACPs and clinical practitioners *Administrative duties related to patient care *Contribution to medical education activity, including for members of the multidisciplinary team *Regular participation in departmental and directorate meetings *To support the Trust in emergencies in addition to appropriate on-call commitments
