Job Title: Charity Worker and Social Media Manager
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Hours: 30 hours per week
Benefits: £500.00 maintenance per month and £200.00 expenses sum.
Emmanuel Celebration Centre is a vibrant church in the heart of the Berkshire Community. We are looking to recruit a Charity Worker-Church Social Media and IT Manager in support of the growing need within our church. Join us and make a real difference in our online platforms.
General Responsibilities:
• As the Social Media and IT Manager, you will support the coordination of our social media platforms, website, and YouTube Channel.
• You will be accountable to the Pastor and set a positive Christian example to the media team that you will be working with.
• You will establish a good working relationship with the online community by maintaining a regular update on our programmes, devotions, uplifting messages, and ensuring any queries raised from the platform are responded to effectively and efficiently.
• Publish content on our website that advocates for Christian values and good morals.
• Develop Social Media Strategies that will help increase brand awareness.
• Coordinate social media live sessions with the pastor or any other minister to help pass on the message of hope to our online community effectively.
The ideal candidate will require:
• At least 3-year work experience working in social media management and IT, preferably in a church setting.
• Willingness to work flexibly.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
• To commit to the vision, purpose, and work of Emmanuel Celebration Centre
• Have a positive attitude.
• To connect with our online community, encourage them, provide opportunities for their spiritual growth, and challenge them to serve their community.
• Stay current with online ministry practices by reading, attending conferences and training as required.
Terms of appointment:
• A probation period of six months.
• A fully enhanced DBS check will be carried out before the appointment.
