The Governors and Head Teacher of Holy Rood Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a warm and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Play Leader to join our friendly team and help deliver high-quality after-school care for children aged 4–11. This is a rewarding role for someone who loves working with children, enjoys planning fun activities, and understands the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment outside the school day. Key responsibilities include: • Leading engaging play activities in line with children’s interests • Supporting children’s wellbeing and positive behaviour • Ensuring a safe, happy, and inclusive setting at all times • Working closely with colleagues, parents, and the school We are looking for someone who: • Has experience working with children • Ability to plan for and lead an activity with a small group of children • Is reliable, caring, and enthusiastic • Understands safeguarding and child protection (training provided) • Has knowledge of basic health and safety, and first aid • Can work as part of a team and use their initiative Holy Rood Catholic Primary School is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. The appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. In line with statutory requirements online searches are conducted on all short-listed candidates.
