Summary
Premises Officer Vacancy (LV2) | Madani Schools Federation
Madani Schools Federation are seeking to appoint a proactive, well-motivated, hardworking and reliable Premises Officer to join the Facilities Team.
The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the general maintenance, cleanliness, statutory compliance, operational readiness and security of the school and mosque site, ensuring all buildings, facilities, grounds and access routes remain safe, secure and compliant at all times. This includes carrying out routine compliance tasks such as water hygiene checks (temperature monitoring and flushing), health and safety inspections, record keeping, and supporting wider site compliance frameworks in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
This is a varied and operationally demanding role within a busy dual-use site comprising school buildings and an active community mosque, with regular evening and weekend community lettings and events. These include sports provision, weddings, community functions and large-scale seasonal operations such as Ramadan congregational prayers. The successful candidate will therefore support the setup, monitoring and breakdown of events and lettings, ensuring the site remains secure, compliant and fully operational across both school and community use.
The successful applicant will possess strong practical skills including building management, IT competence and hands-on site maintenance experience. They will have strong DIY skills with working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and basic electrical systems. The role requires the ability to supervise contractors, maintain site security and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Desirably, the candidate will be trained as a Building Responsible Officer (BRO) and hold a valid PAT Testing certification or be willing to undertake appropriate training.
Our most recent inspections for both, Madani Girls and Madani Boys School were graded as ‘Good’, with many exemplary and outstanding elements.
Our latest summer key performance information demonstrates that both of our schools are amongst the very best schools in the city of Leicester, Leicestershire, and the region in terms of progress and attainment and in the top percentiles in the DfE's published table of schools in the country overall.
The vision for our Federation is clear - Sustained world-class education & care that enables ALL learners to reach their personal excellence, equipped with the skills, identity, HEART values, character and leadership to contribute to the local community, British society & the world wholeheartedly.
The successful candidate will be committed to providing high quality teaching and care that enables every child and young person to reach their potential, regardless of background.
