Site ManagerStart Date: Required asapWorking pattern: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm (36 hpw, working hours to be confirmed - 52 weeks per year) 25 days annual leave per year (to be taken during school closure) Actual Salary: £29,434 - £33,985.00 (Salary scale point D5 - E15 dependant on experience)We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Site Manager who possesses an enthusiastic and proactive approach to maintaining a safe and efficient school environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong preference for a flexible ‘can do’ attitude coupled with a good sense of humour. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective management of our school premises, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all staff, pupils, and visitors at Burlington Infant & Nursery School.
Essential skills and experiences include but are not limited to:
General Site Management: You will be experienced in managing and supervising school premises, including overseeing lettings, handling building projects, and maintaining comprehensive inventory systems. Your role will ensure that the facilities remain in excellent condition and meet the diverse needs of our school community.
Health and Safety Awareness: A solid understanding of health and safety is paramount. You will be responsible for conducting health and safety risk assessments and implementing necessary policies and procedures to foster a safe learning environment for all. Previous experience in a similar role will be seen as advantageous.
Communication Skills: As the Site Manager, you will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff, pupils, parents, and external contractors. Your ability to convey information clearly and build positive relationships will be vital.
Safeguarding Commitment: Your understanding and commitment to safeguarding procedures in an educational setting is vital. You will be an integral part of our commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of all children within the school.
School Environment Experience: Familiarity with working in a school environment or similar is advantageous but not essential, as you will understand the unique dynamics of a busy educational setting and the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere that facilitates learning.
Maintenance and Health & Safety Expertise: A good standard of maintenance experience is essential, along with a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage routine maintenance tasks, respond to emergencies effectively, and maintain records of compliance.
Willingness to Learn: We expect our Site Manager to be committed to continuous professional development, embracing further training opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge relevant to site management within the education sector.
