BBS Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency for the transport and logistics sector, supplying to a variety of clients across London, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We also recruit for Social Care and Public Sector roles.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Youth Offending Team Officer to work for our client in Colindale area.
Duties and responsibilities of a Youth Offending Team Officer:
- Initiate consistent and supportive contact with victims of crimes committed by young people.
- Undertake assessments of victims’ needs and determine appropriate interventions.
- Work directly with young people who have offended and their families, supporting engagement with the Youth Justice Service.
- Promote restorative justice practices between victims and offenders.
- Maintain accurate case records and report on progress to managers.
- Contribute to multi-agency meetings and collaborative project work.
Working hours: 36 hours a week
Requirements of a Youth Offending Team Officer:
- No formal social work qualification required.
- Relevant experience in youth work, social care, or criminal justice is advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS
- Driving License
