Help us bring Stoke on Trent’s parks, green spaces and outdoor places to life. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Active Communities & Healthy Places Lead to develop and deliver inspiring outdoor activity programmes that support residents to be more active, connected and healthy.

In this exciting role, you’ll design and coordinate activities across parks, woodlands, canal routes and community spaces, working closely with local organisations, volunteers and national partners.

You’ll manage community grants, support the development of outdoor infrastructure and help reactivate underused spaces like bowling greens. You’ll also lead on engagement activity, ensuring programmes are inclusive, safe and accessible for all communities.
You’ll bring strong organisational skills, experience of community based activity or wellbeing programmes, and the confidence to build positive relationships with partners and local groups.
You’ll be proactive, creative and passionate about using outdoor spaces to improve health and reduce inequalities.
Working for Stoke-on-Trent City Council means joining a supportive, forward thinking team committed to improving lives and strengthening communities.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape meaningful programmes that make a real difference across the city.
