DUCT FITTERS MATE/ TRAINEE
Due to the continued success of our business, we are now looking to recruit a Ventilation Duct Fitter’s Mate/ Trainee to assist with installation works across a wide range commercial projects including distribution centres, cold stores & swimming pools.
Job type: Full-time, permanent (permanent contract issued on completion of successful six month probationary period)
Location: Main office base in Bleadon but there will also be installation works at sites across the country.
Start date: Immediate
Hours of work: 40 hours per week (overtime where applicable), Monday to Friday, very occasional weekends
20 days holiday + bank holidays, additional time over Christmas shutdown.
Particular requirements:
Able to work and stay away from home for periods of normally 4 consecutive nights, as required (accommodation, overnight allowance and additional overnight payment included)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter to join our manufacturing and installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, installing and maintaining various ductwork components using a range of tools. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in fabrication processes. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Fabrication of Koolduct ductwork (full training will be given)
- Assist with the installation of duct work and associated items, including but not necessarily limited to, Koolduct, Spiral ductwork, textile socks etc. ensuring proper alignment and fit
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of components.
- Cut, shape, and assemble ductwork and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Conduct routine inspections of fabricated parts to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or assembly processes
- Represent Pascal Air Solutions Ltd. When on site, referring to Duct Fitter when appropriate - Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of components
- Apply basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks throughout the fabrication process.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Capable of working off on own initiative with good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and must take pride in your work
- Good basic standard of literacy and numeracy are required
- Good communication skills: ability to communicate with people of all levels
- Ability to work to deadlines and timescales
- Excellent time keeping and reliability
- A reasonable level of fitness is required, as duties include physical work
- Full clean UK Driving Licence with own transport to and from company office (to collect work transport)
Ability to commute/relocate:
Applicants should be able to reliably commute to main office
Desirable:
- Current CSCS
