Job Title: IT Administrator
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically strong IT Administrator with solid knowledge of SQL to support our internal systems, databases, and daily IT operations. You will ensure smooth functionality of our IT environment, assist users, and help maintain data integrity and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
Provide 1st & 2nd line IT support for hardware, software, network, email, and user accounts.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Support users with access issues, password resets, and system usage.
Database & SQL Management
Write and execute SQL queries for reporting, data extraction, and troubleshooting.
Assist in maintaining internal databases and ensuring data accuracy.
Support integration between various business systems using SQL-based tools.
Work with the IT team to optimise database performance and resolve errors.
System & Network Administration
Monitor and maintain servers, networks, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and firewalls.
Perform updates, patches, and routine system maintenance.
Ensure system uptime and reliability.
Security & Compliance
Implement cybersecurity best practices across devices and accounts.
Monitor for threats, vulnerabilities, and unusual network activity.
Maintain antivirus, endpoint protection, and backup systems.
IT Asset & Software Management
Manage IT inventory, licenses, and software installations.
Maintain accurate logs of IT equipment and system changes.
Project Support
Assist in system upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure improvements.
Support onboarding/offboarding processes.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as an IT Administrator or IT Support Engineer.
Strong understanding of SQL (queries, troubleshooting, data extraction).
Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking basics, and hardware support.
Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and backup systems.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Preferred (Not Essential)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices.
Experience with ERP/CRM systems or warehouse software.
