Crynodeb
You should have proven supervisory experience within an office/administrative environment and in particular have experience of practice and quality management within a professional environment, ideally within a legal practice.
The postholder will provide a versatile, high quality and efficient business support function and will be required to maintain and contribute to the development of effective practices and procedures within the legal business team and other professional services led by the Chief Legal Officer within the wider Resources Directorate.
The successful candidate must have a ‘can do’ approach to the role, be able to work effectively as part of a mutually supportive team and be committed to ensuring adherence to procedures and practices in order to deliver an efficient and effective support service. Knowledge of MS Office packages is essential.
Main duties of the role:
Supervise, motivate and mentor staff and apprentices confidently
Administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office and services
Oversee financial processes
Monitoring performance & provide management reports
Training – ensuring staff have skills to perform roles
Development of Practice & Procedures to deliver an efficient front-line service
Attention to detail is a key skill and as the nature of the work involved can be highly sensitive, the successful postholder must have a good understanding and appreciation of the need for always maintaining confidentiality.
There will also be a requirement to support senior management in accordance with service priorities and comply with statutory, business continuity and financial requirements.
