Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at Percy Throwers Garden Centre in Shrewsbury. This is a part-time morning position, working 3–4 hours per day, including weekends on a rota basis. The role is essential in ensuring our garden centre provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and sanitising customer areas, including entrances, shop floor, café seating areas, and restrooms
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
Cleaning windows, glass doors, and display surfaces
Replenishing cleaning supplies and reporting stock shortages
Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times
Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to management
Requirements
Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Good attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Flexible to work weekends on a rota basis
Understanding of health and safety procedures
