Summary

Duties

Reporting to the Head of EHS, you will help drive EHSQ standards by providing competent support and advice on health, safety and environmental matters to the Univar Solutions business, with particular focus on the Middlesbrough site.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Lead EHS&Q at regional/local business level

Drive and facilitate improvements in EHS competence level within the business

Act as the principal contact for EHS regulators and to record and collate all communications and information exchanges with the regulators

Support operational and other colleagues in identifying and managing risk effectively

Ensure audits are carried out according to the schedule

Collate and track corrective and preventive EHS actions and provide support necessary to close these out

Lead or facilitate the investigation of and communication of learning points from incidents

Maintain and develop the Responsible Care management systems and COMAH standards and recommend alterations to the management system documentation, as necessary

Deliver EHS training and provide informal coaching

Develop the onsite competence of our operational teams and support competence building within other functions in a diverse chemically intensive, food and pharma ingredients distribution company

Provide a focal point for site personnel and provide competent EHS advice
