Territory Account Manager – Petronas Lubricants (Performance Materials)
Duties
We have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Account Manager – Petronas Lubricants to join the successful Performance Materials business unit in the Univar Solutions sales team. This is an office-based role in a fast moving and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work with an agreed base of customers, proactively targeting new customers whilst also working in partnership with Sales & Product Management on core products within the portfolio, and ensuring we achieve targeted growth in all areas.
Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, your job will be to grow your territory by effectively cross selling our product portfolio to a diverse range of industries, increasing our market share at existing customers and bringing new customers into your area. This area offers growth potential in a challenging and diverse range of industries.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
To deliver sustainable & ongoing growth in customer numbers and product penetration.
Ability, desire & motivation to support and work as ‘one team’ within the Finished Lubricants and Performance Materials team.
Compliance to all Company procedures and legislative requirements.
Promoting our value proposition to all customers as a platform for growth.
Driving Our Growth Levers through:-
Highlighting and developing new potential opportunities
Driving and converting your target pipeline
Understand and keep abreast of industry and market trends.
Deliver business reporting as required using approved business tools such as Salesforce.com and Q (Pricing Tool).
Working effectively with all other business functions.
We Are Looking For
We need a self-motivated individual with a passion for selling and the ability to build strong relationships internally and with customers. Univar Solutions has an exclusive UK distribution agreement with Petronas Lubricants and we are looking for someone with a back ground in the lubricants or related industries, for example with parts sales experience, who understands the needs of the lubricants market (tractor, truck, car and industrial).
Above all, you should demonstrate a drive and passion for sales and customer development while being naturally industrious and organised. It is essential that you can work effectively within all levels of an organisation and have the ability to prioritise and multi-task and, crucially, be prepared to take ownership and meaningful action. As a true sales professional you will be positive and inquisitive by nature, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and sound commercial acumen. Picking up the phone and speaking to as many customers as possible is a key action for what this role requires.
You will develop relations, positively influence both customers and colleagues and know how to close a sale. The need for strong business acumen, the ability to work at pace and have a proven track record in a sales or commercial role.
