Summary
HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic — Salisbury — £19.50 p/h (Mon–Fri Days, 40 hrs, Permanent)
Join a busy workshop in Salisbury as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician / HGV Fitter / LGV Technician. You’ll carry out servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles to DVSA/manufacturer standards—within a supportive team and on reliable day shifts.
The role — HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Perform servicing, inspections and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose faults (mechanical/electrical) and implement effective repairs
• Work with fellow technicians to maintain productivity and quality
• Complete accurate documentation (job cards, service records, compliance)
What you’ll bring
• Level 3 HGV Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI or equivalent)
• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician / HGV Fitter
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills; safety‑first, right‑first‑time mindset
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous)
Pay, hours & type
• Rate: £19.50 per hour (DOE)
• Hours: 40 per week
• Shifts: Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30 (day shifts)
• Job type: Full‑time, permanent
• Location: Salisbury
