Job description
We are looking for someone to be part of the council’s homeless service, providing an efficient, high-quality advice and assessment service for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. This will be an office based role in Peggs Lane, Hertford.
The role is to:
Function as a triage officer, giving housing advice and booking homeless appointments for Housing Options Officers for customers who are owed homelessness duties
Provide housing advice and assistance to customers in line with current legislation and Council policy, providing a professional, sensitive, and confidential service.
Undertake any other reasonable duties such as assisting clients with applications to the Housing Register, Rent Deposit Scheme, referrals, and Medical Assessment forms and assist with housing queries.
Support caseworkers in their day to day work with customers
We are looking for someone with good communication and customer service skills, who is curious, well organised with excellent administrative skills. Training will be provided.
