We are looking for a caring, friendly, punctual & reliable Self-employed PA to support a young adult (aged 20) with autism.
Role location is in an organised, well-presented charity shop in Dronfield where the young lady enjoys attending and helping out.
The staff have been found to be very welcoming and friendly and the tasks are such as organising dvd's and books, applying labels and rotating stock etc.
The young lady requires someone to take, accompany & guide her - to offer assistance and as a source of support - and then return her back home.
We are specifically looking for a mature female PA who has access to their own vehicle which can be used for work purposes, so this must have a business insurance policy included.
3.5 hours are for a Thursday, to support a young adult to access their established voluntary position in a charity shop between the hours of 10am and 12pm (plus a few minutes either side to both settle in & complete tasks at the end).
Thursdays complete hours are 09:10am - 12:40pm. It will be expected for the PA to drive to and from the home address to the charity shop and home again. Mileage will be paid at the standard rate of 45p per mile. Postcodes for travel are S42 - S18 & return to S42. It is a requirement that the successful candidate will remain in the charity shop and support with any tasks, offering reassurance and guidance as required.
Over time, the PA role could be developed to include further hours in other capacities.
This would suit someone who enjoys helping others with accessing the community, reaching their potential, and being involved in enjoyable, gentle activities.
To support a young adult to and from their voluntary role on a Thursday.
Support, encourage and motivate to complete assigned tasks within their role.
The safe transportation to and from the voluntary role.
There is no specific training required for this role, however background experience would be desirable and the successful candidate will need to be a warm and approachable individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
Support from family & various other health care professionals.
The parent of the young lady will be present at both the beginning and end of the pick-up and drop-off to ensure smooth transitions and communication.
*Female.
*Car Driver.
*The ability to travel to and from the required postcodes. S42 - S18 - S42
*Please kindly note, this role is for a Self-Employed PA.
*Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain.
