Our ALS Department are expanding and we are excited to announce that we are looking for an additional team member to join as a
Senior ALS Co-ordinator.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to join our dedicated team.

The Role
Monday to Thursday -Term Time Only - 38 weeks 30 hours per week.
* To support the co-ordination of the College’s provision for students with High Needs and SEN needs to ensure that all students
benefit from high quality programmes of study. To promote the highest standards of support for all students at Macclesfield
College. To ensure that we have an exceptional climate for learning which is both supportive and reflective of our values.
* This involves, offering pastoral support and signposting to other agencies. The post requires liaison with parents and external
agencies.
Main Duties for this role include
* Provide guidance for curriculum teachers/ assessors and other members of staff as required to ensure that EHCP outcomes are
achieved.
* To act as a first line manager for Lead Learning Facilitators and Study Center Supervisor ensuring that colleagues are
effectively managed, including supervising Lead LF’s timetabling, ensuring that the ALS team are deployed and developed and
that the College’s operational targets are achieved.
* Ensure regular contact with parents/guardians/associated external agencies and/or stakeholders for the duration of the
students’ programme.
* Support progression events ensuring students have appropriate access to external agencies or internal staff to make informed
choices on their destination.
* Liaise and maintain contact with parents or guardians for the duration of the student’s programme.
