In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the School. You will be responsible for cleaning a variety of spaces, including bedrooms, common rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and communal areas, all in line with the School’s weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
The hours for this role are as follows:
Across 39 weeks (predominately term-time) – you will work 30 hours per week:
• Monday to Friday 6am to 12:30pm (including a 30-minute unpaid break)
Across 13 weeks (outside of term-time) – you will work 34 hours per week:
• Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6am to 2:30pm (including a 30-minute unpaid break)
• Tuesday and Thursday 9:30am to 2:30pm
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, dependable and able to complete their work to a high standard within the required timescales. Previous experience in a cleaning role is essential, as is an excellent command of the English language and a positive, professional approach to your work.
St Edward’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we aim to create and maintain a safe environment for our pupils, where they feel respected and supported. We expect all staff to share this commitment and to become familiar with our policies and procedures for child protection and security. All staff are required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
