Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Assistant and Post Office Assistant to support our team in a new Morrisons Daily store in Alford. This role will involve working 12 hours over 2 days and is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service across both the retail store and Post Office counter. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and the ability to manage clerical and retail tasks efficiently.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them with purchases and enquiries at the Post Office counter and within the store.
Process Post Office transactions and retail sales accurately using computerised systems.
Handle cash and card payments responsibly and in line with company procedures.
Maintain an organised and professional counter area, ensuring all clerical duties are completed promptly.
Assist with stock replenishment, facing up shelves, and maintaining the overall appearance of the Morrisons Daily store.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service delivery.
Requirements
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy retail and Post Office environment.
Previous Post Office experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
Retail experience is desirable.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service.
Reliable and flexible to work 12 hours across 2 days.
