Crynodeb
In this role, you will be a central point of contact for clients, suppliers and subcontractors. You will manage incoming / outgoing orders monitor completion, maintain accurate records and provide backup support to Senior management. Work closely with the machine shop & production managers to ensure all orders in the workshop runs smoothly and on time.
The Role:
• Act as point of contact for customers, updating and communicating with them on a daily basis, escalations, and service coordination
• Chasing / progressing suppliers.
• Responsible for daily management of customer purchase orders.
• Purchasing components, This may include tooling, consumables and raw materials.
• Track internal stock parts, updating and correcting stock, This will involve some physical work.
• Distribution of new route cards to relevant departments.
• Works closely with the machine shop manager for future planning of works capacity.
• Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the Engineering Manager
• Administration support as and when required.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential
• Experience handling technical documentation and structured filing systems
• Confident telephone Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and reliability
Desirable
Experience in an administrative role, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, technical, construction, or industrial environment
• Exposure to engineering drawings, technical specifications, or change management processes
• Experience supporting engineering projects or maintenance teams
• Experience working in the engineering / machining industry.
• Computer literacy.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience dealing with suppliers/customers.
