About the Role
We are urgently recruiting for a SOC Operator to join a busy Security Operations Centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a control room-based position — not front-of-house or manned guarding. The role focuses on monitoring operational systems, managing incidents, escalating issues appropriately, and maintaining accurate documentation.
You will play a critical part in ensuring operational continuity, system integrity, and compliance with structured processes throughout each shift.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor operational activity across multiple systems
Respond to incidents in a timely and structured manner
Escalate issues appropriately in line with procedures
Maintain accurate and detailed records throughout each shift
Ensure compliance with internal processes and standards
Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and operational teams
What We’re Looking For
Ability to work a 4 on / 4 off shift rotation (days and nights)
Strong attention to detail
Confident working in a fast-paced control room environment
Clear communication and documentation skills
Comfortable working across multiple systems simultaneously
Proactive and confident in escalating incidents when required
Previous SOC or control room experience desirable
