We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative (SC4) to join our team and contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of our outdoor spaces. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are maintained to the highest standards, creating a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment for all visitors and staff. Your day-to-day tasks will involve a variety of duties that require physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for working outdoors. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, litter picking, and ensuring that planting areas are well cared for. This position will require teamwork, as you will be collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals, but there will also be opportunities for independent work. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability are essential characteristics for success in this role. Responsibilities
Mow lawns, trim grass edges, and maintain turf health.
Weed flower beds, borders, and shrub areas to ensure cleanliness and aesthetics.
Pick up litter and debris to maintain a tidy and pleasant environment.
Plant, prune, and maintain trees and shrubs according to seasonal requirements.
Use a variety of tools and machinery safely and effectively for grounds upkeep.
Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed on the grounds promptly.
Collaborate with other team members to execute landscaping projects and maintenance activities.
Requirements
Proven experience in grounds maintenance or a related field is preferred.
Ability to operate landscaping machinery and tools safely and effectively.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Knowledge of horticulture practices and plant care is an advantage.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and equipment.

Start Time: 07:00
End Time: 15:00
Pay Per Day: £118.85
