About The Role
Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.
Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
As our Planning Coordinator, you are the logistical heartbeat of our field operations. Reporting directly to the Planning Lead, you will take full end-to-end ownership of a specific geographic area, ensuring that every job, from fixing a leak to installing a new meter, scheduled with precision and executed with maximum efficiency.
You'll drive productivity and operational excellence across four key workstreams: Leakage, Lead, New Connections, and Metering Dig. You aren't just moving boxes on a calendar; you are ensuring our field teams have the right notices/permits, the right information, and the "intention to dig" safely and successfully on the first visit.
You' ll take full ownership of your assigned area, acting as the primary point of contact and managing the entire lifecycle of work orders from start to finish. This includes creating optimised daily and weekly schedules that maximise planned value while reducing travel time and downtime for field teams. You’ll manage the full Streetworks permitting and noticing process—raising, monitoring, and closing notices to ensure compliance with local authority requirements and prevent delays or fines.
You’ll coordinate all logistics such as plant hire, material needs, and specialist equipment to ensure every job progresses without interruption. Throughout each stage, you’ll maintain proactive communication with customers to manage expectations around planned digs and provide exceptional service. Finally, you will ensure every job is prepared with a strong safety focus by verifying that field teams have the correct utility maps, risk assessments, and compliance information before arriving on site.
What you'll bring
- Experience: Proven background in utility planning, Streetworks (NRSWA), or high-volume logistics.
- Systems Fluency: Proficiency in work management software and Streetworks permitting systems.
- Problem Solving: The ability to "puzzle-solve" when emergencies arise or schedules shift at the last minute.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between the Planning Lead, field teams, and the end customer.
What’s in it for you?
We offer a range of benefits designed to support your life in and out of work, some of which include;
- Matched or contributory pension scheme
- Online GP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

- Life assurance

- Enhanced maternity, paternity leave and adoption leave
