Role Overview
The Contracts Manager will oversee multiple construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The role involves managing contract performance, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and legal requirements. Working across new build and refurbishment schemes—particularly within healthcare—the successful candidate will play a key role in risk management, project scheduling, budget oversight, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
Manage construction contracts from pre‑construction through to completion
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Lead risk management, cost control, and programme monitoring
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, safety, and environmental standards
Prepare and review contract documentation, variations, and reports
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Support procurement and commercial decision‑making
Candidate Requirements
Strong experience in contract management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating
Proven background in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
Knowledge of construction legislation, regulations, and compliance
Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills
Strong analytical and strategic decision‑making abilities
Proficiency in construction management and project planning software
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Experience in healthcare, education, or commercial construction is advantageous
Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIOB, or PMP are desirable
