Job Title: Class 2 HGV Driver (Category C) – ChorleyLocation: ChorleyStart Dates: Week Commencing 09/03/2026 & 16/03/2026Shift Pattern: Monday to WednesdayStart Time: 12:00pmClass 2 Drivers Required – Immediate Starts AvailableWe are currently recruiting 6 experienced Class 2 (Category C) HGV Drivers to support our client’s operation in Chorley across two consecutive weeks:Week Commencing 09/03/20263 x Class 2 DriversMonday to Wednesday12:00pm startWeek Commencing 16/03/20263 x Class 2 DriversMonday to Wednesday12:00pm startThis role combines professional driving with customer-facing responsibilities, offering a varied and rewarding working day.Role Overview – Class 2 HGV DriverAs a Driver, you will operate as a Service Ambassador, delivering excellent service alongside efficient multi-drop operations.Key Responsibilities:Completing multi-drop deliveries and collections across the regionLoading and unloading cages (manual handling required)Delivering hamper bags, including to buildings without lift accessUsing handheld PDAs to manage routes and confirm deliveriesConducting daily vehicle checks and maintaining vehicle cleanlinessEnsuring full compliance with road transport legislation and safety standardsProviding professional, customer-focused service at every delivery pointRequirements:Full Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence (minimum 1 year preferred)Valid CPC qualificationValid Digital Tachograph CardGood understanding of road transport regulationsIdeal Candidate:Maximum 6 penalty pointsStrong customer service skillsReliable and punctualComfortable with physical/manual handling dutiesConfident using navigation systems and handheld technologyAdditional InformationFor reference, permanent shift structures within the operation include:Sunday – Thursday (£15.40 per hour)Thursday – Monday (£15.96 per hour)Monday – Friday (£14.82 per hour)Start times between 12pm – 3pmIf you are a professional Class 2 Driver looking for consistent midweek work with a customer-focused operation, we’d love to hear from you.Apply now by calling us on 01270 667399 or by registering on www.workchain.co.ukThank you.
