To provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). To create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
1. Childcare & Education
• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Support children’s learning through play-based experiences.
• Observe, assess, and record children’s development.
• Act as a key person for a group of children.
• Support children’s emotional wellbeing and independence.

2. Safeguarding & Welfare
• Follow safeguarding policies and report any concerns promptly.
• Ensure children’s safety at all times.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and staffing ratios.
• Promote health, hygiene, and safe practice.
• Support children with personal care where required.

• Support children with additional needs.
• Work alongside external professionals when required.
• Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Essential Qualifications
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years
• Paediatric First Aid
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

• Understanding of child development (0–5 years) and experience in a setting
• Knowledge of EYFS
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Good organisational skills
