Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialized Applied Psychologist tojoin our mental health services and contribute to making a meaningful impact on the lives of older people and their families. This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a range of skills both embedded in a multi-disciplinary team and as part of a wider group of Psychological Therapies staff. Suitable candidates should be a suitably qualified psychologist and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.You will contribute to the timely delivery of specialist psychological assessment and treatment, and/or neuropsychological assessments, across a range of care settings.The postholder will be based in at least one CMHT but will provide clinical input across the wider Doncaster Care Group CMHTs (as part of a wider psychology hub) and as service needs require. We are keen to hear from anyone who has a passion for working in a trauma informed way with older people experiencing complex mental health challenges and/or neurodegenerative conditions, and has a collaborative, team-orientated approach.
• · Deliver trauma-informed and evidence-based interventions, consultations, and psychological and neuro-psychological assessments.
· Provide psychological input to multi-agency risk management / treatment plans.
· Offer consultation, supervision, and training to colleagues and external agencies to promote psychological understanding.
· Contribute to service delivery, development and quality improvement initiatives.
