The appointed consultants will join a supportive directorate of 23 Consultants and 18 Specialty Doctors, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across the hospital.

• Participate in the general 1:16 on-call rota or the 1:7 weekend trauma rota, contributing to emergency and out‑of‑hours anaesthetic care.
• Undertake elective and emergency theatre sessions as part of a job plan developed to reflect both service needs and individual areas of interest.
• Pursue and develop subspecialty interests, with opportunities available across a wide spectrum of surgical and perioperative care.
• Contribute to service improvement, innovation, and development initiatives within the department and Trust.
• Engage in teaching, training, and supervision of junior doctors, anaesthetic trainees, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Work collaboratively within a large consultant body to ensure high clinical standards, continuity of care, and a positive patient experience.

We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.
