An exciting opportunity has risen for a motivated and experienced paediatric dietitian to join a well-established community paediatric dietetic service for children with complex needs based in Enfield. This post is a 37.5hrs full time fixed term contract as maternity cover.

We are a friendly and supportive team of dietitians within the Enfield Children Service Directorate. You will be part of an expanding, dynamic and patient driven community paediatric dietetic team. We are dedicated to delivering excellent patient care, enhancing service provision and developing new and exciting ways of delivering care to patients within the community.

The post holder will assess, advise and monitor children and young people in the borough of Enfield with a range of conditions including neuro-disability, autism, obesity, faltering growth and children requiring home enteral feeding. You will carry out clinics at Cedar House and special schools, and deliver group education sessions as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Collaborative and partnership working is an important part of the role. Service improvements and developments are welcomed and encouraged.

You will be well supported and will receive regular individual supervision to support your practice as well as regular CPD and training opportunities.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high‑quality, specialist dietetic service to a diverse and multicultural population of children and young people within the London Borough of Enfield. This includes providing comprehensive assessment, intervention and ongoing support for children and young people referred by GPs, consultants and other healthcare professionals in line with departmental referral criteria.

They will offer expert dietetic input to the Child Development Service and to school‑aged children with complex needs, ensuring consistent and effective care across community settings. This will involve delivering specialist dietetic management for children with both enteral and non‑enteral feeding requirements, as well as providing training, advice and support to other healthcare professionals involved in their care.

The post holder will contribute to the operational delivery and strategic development of the Paediatric Dietetic Service, supporting the Clinical Lead Dietitian in driving service quality, efficiency and innovation.
