Prior to submission of your applicationfor any internal secondment or fixed term post, please ensure that you have discussed this with your line managerto obtain their approval. If you do not have written approval from your current line manager to take this position if successful as an internal secondmentopportunity, it would be offered as a fixed term position. This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (£25000), and any role-specific criteria. Duties and Responsibilities Deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services to dermatology patients receiving systemic, biologic and targeted therapies (e.g. biologics, JAK inhibitors, isotretinoin). Run pharmacist-led clinics within scope of practice, assessing patients, prescribing or recommending therapy, reviewing monitoring results, and documenting in the electronic record. Provide structured counselling on medicines, side-effect management, vaccinations, fertility and lifestyle precautions to support safe and informed use. Screen and authorise homecare and shared-care prescriptions, ensuring appropriate funding, Blueteq approval, and alignment with NICE guidance. Work with consultants, nurses and homecare providers to resolve supply issues, coordinate treatment initiation and maintain continuity of care. Contribute to service improvement through pathway standardisation, implementation of NICE Technology Appraisals, audit, incident review, and quality-improvement projects. Support governance for high-cost medicines monitoring expenditure, horizon-scanning, supporting biosimilar switches, and reporting KPIs. Educate and mentor pharmacists, technicians, trainees and dermatology nursing staff in safe prescribing, monitoring and medicines optimisation. Provide expert advice to clinicians and commissioners on medicine selection, cost-effectiveness and risk mitigation. Participate in Trust rotas (e.g. weekend, bank-holiday or dispensary cover) as required.
