Summary
Band 8 - £34,434 – £38,220 per annum (plus, essential car user allowance)
Full time 37hrs per week
Based at the Guildhall, Gainsborough
2 year fixed term
A unique opportunity has arisen to work with people approaching the council who may be rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping. The successful applicants will be helping to deliver professional and outcome focused services to some of our most vulnerable residents alongside ensuring the Council are meeting their statutory obligations under the Homeless Reduction Act 2017 and Homelessness Act 2002.
The successful applicant will have to deal with a variety of issues including domestic abuse, mental health illness, drug and alcohol misuse, evictions and issues with Universal Credit. This person will need to be proactive, have a person-centred approach and a strong focus on supporting vulnerable people. The person will be experienced in managing a homeless caseload and be able to work across the wider system to relief homelessness.
Experience is required alongside a willingness to develop and a strong interest in the customer group is essential.
