Summary
To support the laboratory and operations teams by carrying out routine sample preparation, material processing, and laboratory organisation tasks. This role is ideal for a practical, motivated individual who is willing to learn and develop new skills in a laboratory environment.
No specific prior experience is required, but a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential. There will be opportunities to develop knowledge in cement, concrete, and mortar testing.
Laboratory and Sample Preparation
• Crushing, milling, and splitting material samples.
• Drying and preparing samples for testing.
• Labelling, registering, and storing samples correctly.
• Assisting with basic testing and reporting simple results.
• Following laboratory procedures and safety instructions.
Laboratory Organisation and Maintenance
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe laboratory environment.
• Organising the warehouse and managing material inventory.
• Assisting with equipment cleaning, basic maintenance, and upkeep.
• Supporting general laboratory housekeeping activities.
Logistics and Support
• Organising deliveries and shipments of materials and samples.
• Supporting material handling and internal logistics.
• Assisting the technical team with routine laboratory tasks as required.
