Senior Therapist / Salon Manager

Full or Part-Time Employed Position

Our client is looking for a Senior Beauty Therapist / Salon Manager to lead their salon, inspire a small team, and deliver exceptional treatments in a warm, professional environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident Therapist who enjoys combining hands-on treatments with leadership, organisation, and outstanding customer care.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the salon while delivering high-quality beauty treatments to our client's loyal client base. You will supervise a team of three Beauty Therapists, ensure smooth salon operations, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene, service, and professionalism.

You will report directly to the Director and play a key role in shaping the client experience and supporting the ongoing success of the business.

Hours: Full-time or part-time including Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver a wide range of beauty treatments, including facials, waxing, massage, manicures, pedicures, and body treatments.

- Open and close the salon and manage daily operations.

- Supervise, support, and motivate a team of beauty therapists.

- Conduct professional client consultations, including assessing contraindications.

- Recommend suitable treatments, aftercare, and retail products.

- Manage bookings and maintain accurate client records.

- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.

- Order and manage stock, products, and salon supplies.

- Promote treatments, offers, and loyalty schemes.

- Assist with salon social media activity.

- Oversee staff rotas to ensure appropriate cover.

- Handle client feedback and complaints professionally.

- Support training, performance monitoring, and recruitment.

- Ensure full compliance with UK health and safety regulations.

- Keep up to date with industry developments, treatments, and techniques.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

- NVQ Level Level 3 in Beauty Therapy (or an equivalent recognised UK qualification).

- Experience running or supervising a salon, spa, or clinical beauty environment.

- Proven ability to deliver multiple treatment types to a high standard.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

- Experience in a luxury, premium, or hotel spa environment.

- Retail product sales experience.

- Experience with booking systems such as Phorest, Ovatu, Fresha, or similar.

- Additional certifications, including (but not limited to): Lash extensions; Elemis treatments; Massage specialisms or holistic therapies; Electrical facial/body treatments; Hot waxing (or willingness to train); Pregnancy massage; Brow lamination; Lash lift and tint.
