We are seeking a skilled Shed Maker and Installer to join our team. This role involves the fabrication and assembly of bespoke garden sheds and garden rooms, as well as their professional installation on-site. The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship and construction projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality outdoor structures.
While experience is essential, full training will be provided to the right candidate who is motivated and willing to learn and develop their skills.
Applicants must be aged 18+.
A full UK driving licence is preferred.
Duties
* Fabricate shed components using various hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
* Assemble shed structures accurately according to design specifications and safety standards
* Install completed sheds on customer premises, ensuring stability and durability
* Conduct site assessments prior to installation to determine suitable locations and prepare foundations
* Perform roofing tasks, including fitting roofing materials and waterproofing.
* Apply finishing touches such as painting or staining to enhance appearance and weather resistance
* Assist in the maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good working order
* Adhere to health and safety regulations throughout all stages of fabrication and installation
Skills
* Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and carpentry
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
* Knowledge of roofing installation methods and waterproofing practices
* Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during construction tasks
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail during all phases of project completion
* Good problem-solving abilities to adapt plans based on site conditions or unforeseen challenges
This role is ideal for motivated individuals with a passion for craftsmanship who take pride in delivering durable, aesthetically pleasing outdoor structures. All positions are paid, reflecting the importance of fair compensation for skilled labour.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm or 9am - 6pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm (every other Saturday)
