Registered Veterinary Nurse - Part Time

Competitive Salary DOE | Approx. 25 Hours per Week | 1 in 4 Saturdays | General Practice

This permanent, part-time position offers flexibility around approximately 25 hours per week, with just 1 in 4 Saturday mornings required. The team is highly experienced and incredibly stable with some being employed for over 20 years.

    About the Practice

    This welcoming, independent practice provides high-quality care to a wide range of small animals, including:

    Small animal, small furies and some exotics.

    Facilities include:

    • Dedicated operating theatre


    • Preparation room


    • Recovery and in-patient wards


    • Digital x-ray


    • Ultrasound


    • ECG and blood pressure monitoring


    • In-house laboratory for bloods, urine and microscopy


    • Access to specialist external laboratories for advanced diagnostics


      Modern, gold-standard anaesthetic protocols are used to minimise risk and ensure smooth patient recovery.

      The Role

      This is a varied and hands-on nursing role within a small team environment, offering excellent continuity of care and the chance to build strong client relationships.

      Duties will include:

      • Surgical nursing and anaesthesia monitoring


      • In-patient care and recovery management


      • Laboratory diagnostics


      • Client support and education


      • Assisting with consultations and procedures


      • Reception, insurance and administrative duties as required


        You’ll be part of a mature, supportive team that values collaboration, transparency and high clinical standards.

        The Ideal Candidate

        • RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse


        • Confident monitoring anaesthesia and caring for in-patients


        • Enjoys client interaction and relationship building


        • Team-oriented and adaptable within a small practice setting


        • Positive, proactive and compassionate approach
